Reasons to Fix a Tooth Not Associated with Pain

Reasons to Fix a Tooth Not Associated with PainWhen you feel pain in a tooth, you realize that you may need to come in to see us. Pain is a symptom of a variety of different problems with your teeth. The absence of pain does not always mean that there is no problem with your teeth. There are other reasons that teeth need treatment even if there is no pain present.

Start with Your Breath

Bad breath is not something to try to hide. People will cover their problems with bad breath by turning to breath mints or by covering their mouth when they talk. They will hope that no one notices. The thing they don't realize is that the cause of bad breath is often related to their teeth. Decaying teeth, dry mouth and bacteria on the tongue can all result in chronic bad breath.

Misaligned Teeth

Braces are often seen as a rite of passage for teenagers. The braces can help when teeth are not aligned properly, did not go in straight or have some other issue that affects the way they look and work. These issues can cause different problems and can affect the appearance, but they do not necessarily result in pain.

Discolored Teeth

There are many reasons that teeth lose their whiteness. Diet and oral hygiene habits can cause staining of the teeth. While this does not cause any pain, it can affect the way a person looks and can affect their self-esteem. It is also something that is possible to fix through teeth whitening.

If you have pain in your teeth, you should come and visit our office. If you notice other issues, you can still come to see us. It is important to have regular checkups and cleanings even if you do not have any pain. It is the best way to keep your teeth and gums happy and healthy and pain free for a long time.
